My friend highly recommended going to this restaurant when visiting quebec city.The host of our bnb also recommended this restaurant.So, I didn't bother with checking the reviews. Big Mistake.....never take a recommendation for granted.The food is awful. I hate to say bad things about food, but for this place I have to say it.We ordered the Shawarma Trio that comes with poutine ...the poutine is simply soggy french fries with a drizzle of sauce and cheese pieces. The meat they use for shawarma has a very strange texture!!!The chicken shawarma is ok.The third plate which is your choice of three meats and rice and cold sides is less than ok, again the texture of the meat is strange.The bottom line: don't go there.

Quick and tasty food.

Food is not very tasty... Also, after repeating the order at least 3 times, they still managed to screw it up for my kids order. Def not going back.

Very nice ambience. The service was good. I liked the shawarma and the chicken sandwhich. Different from the regular shawarma you might be used to in Montreal.

The food was good, but I wish they had an English menu for the tourists. I would give it another shot if I return to the city in the future.

Food was ok, not great. There are many better options (and cheaper too) in the area. The potatoes were greasy and tasteless and the pita was ok but lacked flavour. It took forever to be able to pay.

Food was ok, rice was undercooked. The guy was polite enough to apologize and not charge me for the rice.

Excellent place, nice workers, perfect food, very good price, I recommend to anyone. But those who are always giving bad commentarys,to everyone and everything. Go try I'm sure you'll be satisfied. Terrible food at high priceRestaurant was kind of clean but service was average. Food below average. Cashier and their friends were giggling around. Food was terrible. Worst Lebanese food I ever her had. Old and stale food. You have to order and pay at the counter. Still they asked for 15 percent tips. Horrible. Don't know how people can give any rating higher than one star.

Pro : Good location and excellent service .Con : Expensive and the food is mediocre. The triple meat poutine didn't feel very fresh. $19 for a shawarma wrap, poutine and an a can of drink.

Amazing delicious halal food. They just need to provide English information in menu and by staff. In my case there were some confusion about the options. We went in late and they accommodated our orders. Nice staff.

Good looking restaurant and reasonable prices. But... My frustration started with the Morrocan cashier/owner, Hishaam, ignoring me when I entered. I received something that did not come with extras as in menu photo (hummus, pickles, etc.) and when I asked if I can have the same thing the reaction was very aggressive. Without touching the food, I had to leave. Mr. Hishaam, people come to your restaurant to enjoy their meal and relax. Having opened a restaurant in such a culture you won't be a winner if you and your staff behave the same with these special locals! Good luck..

Good Halal restaurant near Citadelle. Long waiting time.

We were in Quebec City only for 2 nights, and in that time we ate at this restaurant 3 times because we loved it that much! The ambiance is great, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the couscous salad and carrot salad, the meats were delicious and the mint tea was phenomenal! If you're in the area, I definitely recommend checking this out.

Got the shawarma plate, very small amount of chicken that didn’t taste like shawarma and was cold. The salads were good though.

Easy walk from upper Old Quebec, and fantastic inexpensive food that delights the senses. Cozy restaurant, with friendly behind the counter help. Excellent lamb shanks with meat so tender that it fell off the bone. Bright yellow couscous, hearty potatoes and carrots, beet salad, refreshing tabouli, and yummy hummus. The hot Moroccan mint tea was a great complement to the to-die-for baklava.....

Very nice place, great service and very good food. I had the couscous merguez. It was very flavorful. I also had a bowl of onion cream soup which was one of the best bowls of soup I have.tasted in a long time. Had a nice little kick to it. Finished it off with Morracan Tea and a piece of baklava. Nice setting, not too fancy, good for single, couples and families.

Enjoyable,,but not great

Good quick food here, staff were friendly and accommodating to our group. The sausage was also very good.

Amazing! I look for the closest place to get Moroccan food whenever I travel to a Francophone area. Was blown away by this place and the service provided. The upstairs was opened for my group, and the owner came up and put on a mix of traditional music while we dined. Great price, definitely will come back!

Each time I come to Quebec, this Moroccan joint is a MUST. Sandwiches, tagine, shanks...try them all but make sure to save room for some Baklava. LITERALLY THE BEST BAKLAVA EVER. Take a bunch to go too, it's that delicious.

I've rarely had a bad experience there. I've went countless times. This time, however, the potatoes were extremely oily and tasted very heavy. Hope that won't happen again.

Cosy place for families who prefer halal food,they must improve their cleanliness and make sure that they clean tables and serve food in a hygienic way The food we had were full of trace of stone in the meat kebabs.

The atmosphere was nice but the food was not. Coming from Toronto the food was not good, the portions were small, and it was expensive.

Well Done Moroccan food at very reasonable prices

I didn’t like the food at all, I ordered a 3 meet plate $14.99 . The meet portion is too little, the food was cold and not tasty.I don’t recommend this place.

this is a good halal place to find when you are in Quebec city, as we went there for visit this is the only halal place near to my hotel. The food was good.

My wife and I visited this place during our trip to Quebec. I was hesitant given the mixed reviews and so I felt it necessary to write an honest unbiased review.The restaurant is beautiful from the inside with creative artwork and ample seating. When I went to order, being from Ontario, I was a bit reluctant as I don't speak French. The gentleman behind the counter realized and explained everything in English. He was very polite and extremely helpful. The food was very good! Coming from Toronto where there is an abundance of halal food and portion sizes are usually very big I can understand why some may find it subpar. But the quality of the food was very fresh and the portion sizes were normal. I was left satisfied at the end of the meal after a long day of exploring the city. The price range was reasonable and I was not asked for a mandatory tip at the end. All in all I would definitely visit this place again and would recommend it to anyone!

Even 1 star doesn’t worth it. They are saying halal food but they couldn’t show us certificate. Food was stale and meat was heated twice and it wasn’t fresh. Also the price is too high. Don’t go there and find another place

Great and cozy place. We had the chicken poutine which was very delicious, and the tasty falafel. Liked the decoration. Strongly recommended.
